Univision Communications

As assistant art director for Univision's online portal I got to work on an array of exciting projects within our art department. Whether it was creating mockup pitches for the sales team (see below for samples done for Chevrolet and Disney) or developing for the future designing new templates and experiences for product development, my time there was one of a lot of hard work and learning.

Mockup for a cross promotional contest for Premios Juventud and the Chevrolet Aveo.

Working for the largest Hispanic Web portal in the United States, I got to really tap into the Hispanic / Latino user paving way for my future in Cultural Adaption work for Goal.com and HolaDoctor.com. Getting a feel for how different cultures consume and experience content in order to increase engagement and lengthier time sessiones on the site.

Univision minisite created for Disney Parks vacation planner.

Besides working on cool sales pitches for large corporations like, Coca-Cola, Ford and Universal, my other favorite department I got to work in was for product development. My tasks there involved studying user behavior to optimize usability and engagement on new site templates and overall site redesign, experiment with alternative UI in order to stage live events for World Cup, Copa America and Latin Grammy's. During this time we were one of the first Spanish language web portals to start designing specifically for mobile devices forecasting the huge potential to reach more audiences at all times of the day.
